New Play Mat

This evening Jason and I met Trinity and Patrick at the shops in Allen for dinner. We went to Twisted Root Burger and after dinner decided to do some walking around in the shops. I wanted to go to "Bedazzled" a baby boutique store to look for some clothes for Keifer but they were closed. Fortunately the toy store right next door was open! I saw these play mats that were so soft and comfortable!!!! Keifer has his mobile but I wanted him to have a play mat to play on when he gets a little older to play with his other toys.

Big Smile for my new mat!!!

After a little bit of play time on his mat he started his talking again I couldn't help but record him talking to his Daddy again!!!

A Day in the Life of Keifer...

This post has no special story behind it just pictures of Keifer during the day. These pictures were taken on two different days and they are just pictures of Keifer in action.

You're so fuuny!!!

Keifer is starting to get distinct when he is laughing and doing his "baby talk" and no one can make him laugh like his Daddy! He loves Jason and lights up when he sees him. Tonight we had Trinity and Patrick over for dinner and he was a little fussy before they left because he was hungry but after he ate he wasted no time into getting back into his happy little self. He is getting so big and I love every second I get to spend with him!!!

Three Strikes You're Out....

And the Ranger's were!!! This was the second game Keifer has been to and unfortunately they lost both times. However he has been lucky enough to be in a suite both times. I never watched a sports event in a suite until I was pregnant with Keifer so he is getting an early start. I told Jason, "Keifer is never going to be ok with stadium seating if you keep spoiling him with suites!"

This time was a little more special because we were in the owner's suite! Jason's Mom and Dad go to church with the owner of the Rangers and Parker has befriended Mr. Davis, so he was nice enough to invite Parker to a game and let him invite his whole family. It was such a nice evening! We got an endless amount of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken quesadillas, chips and queso, and drinks!

After the night ended we got to meet Charlie Pride and ride down the elevator with him and his family. He was a very nice man and seemed very down to earth. He let Jason try on his American League Championship ring and loved the kiddos. Charlie made Keifer smile (not too hard to do) and talked with Savannah. Such a nice ending to a great time!

Head Strong

The past few weeks Keifer has been really good about holding his head up on his own. In the past when we held him he would just lay his head on our chest. Now all he does is hold his head up. Keifer is so curious about things around him. He just looks around and takes it all in. I'm amazed at how quickly he is developing and growing, I thought I would have longer with him as my baby, however every new thing he does is fun!

Penny for Keifer's thoughts

Keifer talks all day long!!! If he is not asleep or eating he smiles and talks. He has been doing this since he was about two weeks old and he has been getting better and better the older he gets. It is soooo fun to talk to him and see him smile. He is such a happy baby, we are truly blessed! I have tried multiple times to record him to share with everyone but he knows the camera. As soon as I get it out he freezes and just stares without talking. I finally got him on video talking but I had to be sneaky sneaky about it and film from behind, so sorry that these are upside down. : (

ENJOY! Jason and I do : )

2 Months

This second month has flown by quicker than the first month! I wish I could freeze time and keep him my baby. These two months have been so amazing and I can't even think what I did before he was born. Keifer is on a great sleeping schedule. He eats at 9:00 and is down by 9:30-10:00 and doesn't wake up until 7:00-8:00. However he still grunts during the night starting around 3:30-4:00 for you to give him his pacifier. He smiles and laughs ALL THE TIME!!! It is so fun and he is always in a good mood. He is staying awake anywhere between 2-4 hours at a time during the day. He LOVES pictures, bright colors, and his mobile. He is still in newborn clothes and newborn diapers and in the past two weeks has found his tongue! I love him so much and just stare at him soaking up every moment of his life!

Laughing so hard!

Jason and I took him to his second month appointment and the doctor said he looks great and is healthy! His head circumference is 15 1/8 inches putting him in the 23 percentile. His height is 22 1/2 inches putting him in the 25 percentile and his weight was 9lbs. 14 ounces putting him in the 11th percentile.

Nifty Nifty Nay Nays Fifty!!!

Today was my Mom's 50th Birthday! Trinity and I had a whole day planned for her. We started with morning pedicures and lunch at The Durning House. I have never been able to get both Keifer & myself dressed and out of the house before 12:30 except for Sundays for church when Jason is here to help. So needless to say being out of the house by 10:15 was going to be a stretch. My plan was when Keifer woke up for his 6:30 or 7:00 feeding I would put him back down and get dressed until he got back up at 9:00. However my plan did not work. This was the first night Keifer slept through his morning feeding and didn't wake up until 8:40!!! I couldn't have been happier to sleep in and I was so happy that he slept 20 minutes shy of his 9-9 goal. However this was not the morning to do that. I only had a hour and a half to feed him, get him bathed, dressed, and myself dressed. Let me just say we set a world record today and was in the car by 10:10 and we were off for our day.....

Keifer slept all through our pedicures which was nice, he wasn't too interested in girls day at the salon.

Afterward my Dad met up with us for lunch which Keifer was awake for and happy to be there. Next on the agenda was an afternoon fun of sun and swimming. Unfortunately Keifer and I couldn't attend because it was way too hot for him to be outside so I sent Mom, Trinity, and LaDonna off to Ann's house for some tanning time. Keifer and I came home and got ready for the dinner party. Decorations were up and cake was delivered.

Dad came over while the girls were gone to start dinner. Menu was shrimp, steak, chicken, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, zucchini and squash

Once again Keifer slept through his second birthday party that he attended so we had to take family pictures without him unitl he woke up for just a few pictures.

We had a great day and hope Mom did too!
