Keifer did great and just looked at him inquisitive like he does EVERYTHING. After he was done Amy and Caleb showed up for their turn to take Keifer's cousins, Savannah and Hudson. We waited on them and then went to Babies R Us for some shopping then headed to Christiana's for dinner. It was a great day and now Keifer is ready for Santa to come visit his house!

Meeting The Big Guy
With Christmas right around the corner we were running out of time to go take Keifer to meet Santa. I was so excited with his first Christmas coming up and was interested to see how he reacted to meeting "The Big Guy." So Saturday December 17th Jason and I got him dressed up and registered online. (That is how they do it now, you can pick your time online so you don't have to wait in line and they text you when it's your turn) While we waited we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A and did some Christmas shopping.

7 months
Well at 7 months old Keifer is officially closer to his first birthday than to the day he was born. I'm not taking it as hard as I thought I would because every stage is so much fun and I look to the next ones. Keifer is truly the biggest blessing in my life and I cherish every second of his little life and soak up all the memories.
Keifer weighs 13lbs. 12oz. and is 2 feet and 4 inches long. We just moved him into size 2 diapers a week before he turned 7 months. He is still mostly in size 0-3 months clothes and some 3 months. Keifer has his first tooth and I'm so proud of him! I didn't even know he was cutting a tooth, he didn't run fever, wasn't fussy, or any other signs. Keifer is taking 2 naps a day lasting 1.5-2 hrs for the first one and 1 hour for the second nap. He goes to bed at 7:00-7:30 and sleeps through the night until 5:00-6:00am to eat and then goes back to sleep until 8:30 or 9:00am. He is sitting up very well and army crawling all over the place. He is in a high chair at restaurants now. I would have to say Keifer's biggest accomplishment is how good of an eater he is. He has enjoyed everything I have given him and eats 3-4oz each setting. The only thing that never grew on Keifer is peaches.

Keifer's new hobby
Keifer and I were playing in his bedroom with his toys waiting for Jason to get home. I left him so I could go throw something away in the kitchen. As I got in the living room I heard this super loud noise!!! To be honest with you it sounded like the loudest fart I ever heard. (coming from Keifer this wasn't too far off of a guess) I hurried into his room because I was sure that he absolutely exploded out of his diaper and I wanted to get him before he got it all over the floor. (which has happened before) However, when I walked in his room I didn't see him at first. I looked around and found him in the corner by the closet door.
He had found the door hinge and was playing with it. Since this first time of him figuring it out he plays with it all the time! It doesn't matter what room he is in. He will find it in that room and head straight to it. Gives him entertainment for at least 10-15 minutes which is a long time for something to entertain him at this stage in life! Everything else is a few minutes until something else catches his eye to get.

First Thanksgiving
Unfortunately I really didn't take pictures of Keifer's first Thanksgiving, however it was a nice day. Thanksgiving morning we lounged around the house. Keifer and Jason took a nap while I cooked my broccoli and rice casserole to take to my Mom and Dad's house that afternoon.
After both the sleepy heads woke up we got loaded up and headed out to Howe. Jason's friend John joined us so they just watched the Cowboys while the girls finished in the kitchen. My Granny moved back from New Mexico and this was the first time we got to see her since she moved back. So today was the first time Keifer met Granny. We had a delicious meal (as always) and after dinner it was time for our annual tradition... I don't remember how many years this goes back but I can remember at least 10 years. My family buys each other Christmas ornaments and we exchange them on Thanksgiving. It is suppose to be an ornament that resembles something from the past year. Keifer of course got baby's first Christmas, Jason got a Daddy one and I got a sewing ornament for my new hobby I picked up this year.

Keifer opening his ornament...He liked how the bag tasted more than what was in it
After we opened our gifts we loaded up and headed home to get Keifer in bed. I realized I had to get a picture of Keifer with mommy on his first Thanksgiving so I took our picture before bed time!Planking
At least this is Keifer's version of planking. He was playing on his bedroom floor rolling around and he got underneath his crib and was talking like crazy! He looked cute and I couldn't help snapping this picture.

Peas Peas and more Peas!
After learning apples were phase 2 foods I did some more research and looked into what Keifer could eat that would be easy on his stomach. I learned that you are suppose to start with Prunes, Peaches, Apricots, or Peas. With Peaches and Apricots being out of season I tried prunes. Keifer seemed to be ok with them and he ate them for a week but after him not giving much of a reaction I tried peas. Those without a shadow of a doubt I know he loves!!! Jason recorded these 2 videos. They are so cute : )
Applesauce
I waited until Keifer was 6 months old to introduce "solids" into his diet. A week before Keifer turned 6 months old I went and bought a baby food puree maker. The first thing I tried with him was pureed Apples. He made some really funny faces and seemed to really like eating like a "big person" However we learned the hard way two days later that apples are not suppose to be fed until phase 2 foods which is 8-9 months. We had two days of screaming and constipation so needless to say he hasn't had them since!
I was the only one home with him while feeding so I had to set the camera up to record and unfortunately I laid it on it's side and now the video is on it's side but just cock your head and enjoy!!!
