Christmas at Home

This Christmas I was looking forward to sleeping in because Keifer is too young to get excited and wake up early yet. I know those days will be here before we know it. However those dreams came and went. Jason woke up at 5:00 to wrap my gift and I heard the commotion in the front room and I couldn't go back to sleep. I got up with Jason as he was starting a fire I put cinnamon rolls into the oven while we waited for Keifer to wake up.

We decided to go ahead and open our gifts after breakfast...

After we opened gifts I fell back asleep on the couch but was woken up by a special someone!

Christmas with the Schillis

Christmas Eve was on a Saturday this year and it was Keifer's first time to open gifts! Every year we have Christmas at Jason's grandma's house so we headed over there. We sat around and visited, ate, visited some more and then opened presents. With three little ones now we had a lot of entertainment and no shortage of gifts to be opened.

We had a great time and Keifer made out like a bandit with all his new toys! Everything we opened he wanted to play with it right then until we opened the next gift but once we opened his baseball toy he played with the ball and that was good enough for him ; )

Meeting The Big Guy

With Christmas right around the corner we were running out of time to go take Keifer to meet Santa. I was so excited with his first Christmas coming up and was interested to see how he reacted to meeting "The Big Guy." So Saturday December 17th Jason and I got him dressed up and registered online. (That is how they do it now, you can pick your time online so you don't have to wait in line and they text you when it's your turn) While we waited we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A and did some Christmas shopping.

Keifer did great and just looked at him inquisitive like he does EVERYTHING. After he was done Amy and Caleb showed up for their turn to take Keifer's cousins, Savannah and Hudson. We waited on them and then went to Babies R Us for some shopping then headed to Christiana's for dinner. It was a great day and now Keifer is ready for Santa to come visit his house!

7 months

Well at 7 months old Keifer is officially closer to his first birthday than to the day he was born. I'm not taking it as hard as I thought I would because every stage is so much fun and I look to the next ones. Keifer is truly the biggest blessing in my life and I cherish every second of his little life and soak up all the memories.

Keifer weighs 13lbs. 12oz. and is 2 feet and 4 inches long. We just moved him into size 2 diapers a week before he turned 7 months. He is still mostly in size 0-3 months clothes and some 3 months. Keifer has his first tooth and I'm so proud of him! I didn't even know he was cutting a tooth, he didn't run fever, wasn't fussy, or any other signs. Keifer is taking 2 naps a day lasting 1.5-2 hrs for the first one and 1 hour for the second nap. He goes to bed at 7:00-7:30 and sleeps through the night until 5:00-6:00am to eat and then goes back to sleep until 8:30 or 9:00am. He is sitting up very well and army crawling all over the place. He is in a high chair at restaurants now. I would have to say Keifer's biggest accomplishment is how good of an eater he is. He has enjoyed everything I have given him and eats 3-4oz each setting. The only thing that never grew on Keifer is peaches.
